Once upon a time there was a little girl who would come home from school and lock herself in her room. And she would call her little best girlfriend, and they would take turns reading aloud all the naughty bits from their mothers’ cheap romance novels. And she would crush on the ambiguous hyper-sexuality of George Michael and David Lee Roth and Robert Plant. And she would collect comic books and dream of being Kitty Pryde. As time went by, this little girl was cursed to grow up, misplacing all these gifts. Then, one day, she discovered LJ. Thus the curse was lifted, so she lived happily ever after.

My complete and utter devotion to Supernatural, the Winchesters, and the actors who play them are a dirty little secret in my RL. I'd guess that nine out of ten people I talk to on a daily basis have no idea what slash is. Poor things.
